Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) co-authored and published a peer-reviewed technical paper documenting a successful MPC stimulation pilot in a fractured tight carbonate formation across 10 production layers.
The target formation had a recovery factor of 1–3% and had delivered limited results from conventional acid stimulation. The MPC treatment was deployed as an alternative stimulation approach for hard-to-recover formations.
Following treatment, wells recorded a production increase of 50–140%. Performance was evaluated over a 6-month post-treatment period — sustaining results beyond what conventional stimulation had achieved in the same formation.
